Student Development and Alumni Relations Affairs division arranges the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony for Sri Kalapapruek award, Kalapapruek awards, and Student activity scholarships 2012

     On 2nd October 2012, at SiriKunakorn Meeting room 3, SiriKunakorn building, Office of the President, the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony for Sri Kalapapruek award scholarship, Kalapapruek award scholarships and Student activity scholarship 2013 was held by the Student Development and Alumni Relations Affairs division arranged. The ceremony was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai, Khon Kaen University president, together with Asst. Prof. Likit Amarttayakong, the Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Affairs, university administers, and lecturers.
The report and the scholarship holders’ name were presented by the director of the Division of Student Affair, Miss Thanarat Sornsa. The details of scholarships were as follows:
1. Sri Kalapapruek award has 1 award; each award is worth 10,000 Baht
2. Kalapapruek awards have 7 awards; each award is worth 5,000 Baht
3. Student Activity scholarships have 20 scholarships; each scholarship is worth 5,000 Bath
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai, Khon Kaen University president also gave a lecture to students, who will attend a study tour at the university in South Korea. The excerpt from the university president’s lecture says “students and graduates of Khon Kean University possess one outstanding characteristic, which is the important one, is “ready to work”. KKU students are high competence in their field of study. Importantly, the outside the classroom self-development or do the co-curricular activity will help leading to the leadership and ready to work person. Then, KKU students who do the activity will be benefited both in the studying life and future career”
“Personally, the Sri Kalapapruek award is the honor and valuable prize for being Khon Kaen University student. Importantly, I wouldn’t be this prosperous, unless there were help and supporting from my family, friends, brothers, sisters, teachers and the university officers. Everyone shares my prosperity. I do promise that I’ll protect the honor of Khon Kaen University for my whole life” said Mr. Nirinam Ngamwaja, 5th year student of the Faculty of Education, the winner of Sri Kalapapruek award. In addition, Mr Ngamwaja will be presented the honor plate from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the Degree Presentation Ceremony in the coming December 2012. He has been given many awards such as Youth of the Year 2011, the well behaved student award 2012 from the Buddhist Association of Thailand, and the KKU Prototype Student award 2010.   


 
“What do I get from doing activity are in various forms such as experiences, life skill, new friends and much more. This scholarship might be one of the results from doing the activity. The significant thing in doing activity is a willingness to do. Anything can be done even it is hard to accomplish, if we have a willing heart to do. Thank you the committee for choosing me. My thanks also go to everyone who helps finishing off all activities and all problems occurred during doing the activities”
said Mr. Thanawat Chainikron, president of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences student club, the Student Activity scholarship holder.
 “In the university, seeking for experiences is worth doing because it provides challenge, friends, friendship, thinking process, working process which occurred from the activity. Some might say that what did you get from doing the activities? For what? How does it useful? But once they have a chance to do the activity, they’ll find out the answer themselves. I want to persuade those who are hesitating for doing activity to try it once. You’ll know what exactly the activity is? This scholarship is just one part of it” said Mr. Sathawat Donsui, vice president of KKU student union, the Student Activity scholarship holder.
             “I got so many experiences from doing activity. It’s the good experience in my university life. Doing the activity provides me working skill, adapting to others, creating public awareness, happiness and joyful. Thank you my parents for supporting and encouraging. Thank you all lecturers and officers for choosing me as the scholarship holder.” said Mr. Chayeth Srikeaw, president of the Faculty of Architecture student club, the Student Activity scholarship holder.
“Doing the activity is the real learning by doing method. I gained a lot of things from this such as friends, higher competence, administrative skill, and importantly, it is the valuable experiences. I would like thank everyone for supporting me, parents, teachers, staffs and officer” said Mr. Sathaya Prasert, president of the College of Local Administration, the Student Activity scholarship holder.

            1. Sri Kalapapruek award, the winner is Mr. Nirinam Ngamwaja, 5th year student of the Faculty of Education
            2. Kalapapruek awards, the winner lists are as follows:
- Kalapapruek award in Academic, the winner is Mr. Tinnakrit Sasiprapa, 6th year student of the Faculty of Medicine
- Kalapapruek award in Management and working skill, the winner is Mr.Apinan Kinnaree, 4th year student of the Faculty of Education
- Kalapapruek award in Well behaved, virtue, morality, and self-discipline, the winner is Miss Nuanlamai Prommarat, 4th year student of the Faculty of Nursing
- Kalapapruek award in Thai art and culture, the winners are Mr. Witsarut Sarakan, 5th year student of the Faculty of Education and Miss Ratchanee Kanthaphum, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts
- Kalapapruek award in Sufficiency Economy, the winner is Miss Amonrat Ketsungnoen , 4th year student of the Faculty of Agriculture
- Kalapapruek award in Sports and Health, the winner is Mr. Kasama Kanpittaya, 4th year student of the Faculty of Dentistry
             The honor awards are annually given to the students who are in the university criteria. The awarded students are nominated by the faculties or the institutes. It first began in the academic year of 2006.
            The Student Activity scholarship, the academic year of 2012, 20 scholarships each is worth 5,000 Baht. The scholarship holder lists are as follows:
